Josh Greene

Co-Founder, Co-CEO

Josh is an award-winning filmmaker and creative director from San Clemente, CA.

He is best known for his film Waves Apart, which won the Jury Award for Best Documentary at the Cannes Film Festival: Emerging Filmmaker Showcase.

Growing up in a sleepy seaside village equidistant between San Diego and Los Angeles, Josh developed an affinity for both the entertainment industry and the natural world.

After helping establish the first video production class at San Clemente High School and winning its inaugural film festival, Josh further pursued his life’s work at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, majoring in Film Production with a minor in screenwriting.

At USC, Josh met Jack on the first day of school in their freshmen year “cinema” dorm. Together, they spent their entire undergraduate experience collaborating on dozens of projects. This culminated with Waves Apart, which received recognition as a Student Academy Award® Finalist, one of seven documentaries nominated out of 1,796 submissions. Aside from Cannes, Waves Apart has screened at several presitigious and Oscar®-qualifying film festivals, including the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the American Documentary Film Festival, NorthwestFest Documentary Film Festival, and the San Diego Film Festival.

Once graduated, Josh and Jack formalized their creative partnership in establishing Landport Productions LLC.

At Landport, Josh oversees all business and creative operations, and participates in every step of a project’s production, from ideation and principal photography, to delivery and distribution.

Currently, Josh is co-directing an upcoming documentary drama with Luke Harris (director of Pam and Tambou). Their film confronts tensions between Black and Jewish Americans over the past half-century.

He is also writing and developing a feature film about the undiscovered world of professional skimboarding and its epicenter of Laguna Beach, California.
